Vintage Christofle GALLIA Silverplate Ice Bucket, Horizontal Lines Ring Handles. Condition is "Used".
3 pounds, 3 ounces.   8" height,  7 1/4" top diameter,  5 7/8" bottom diameter. Good, but AS FOUND, with mono and rim edge bends
This vintage Christofle ice bucket from France shows that it has had a long life, and it has a long life ahead of it still.  In heavy silver plate in the Gallia design, it is banded horizontally  and features ring handles. The heavy bucket functions soundly with no cracks or leaking and overall the shape and the eye appeal are good. There is however damage on the rim--two areas in particular that have significant  crumpled edges--please see photos and zoom in.  Such is the life of a Champagne bucket. The mono on the front face is subtle and looks more decorative than textual.  I don't mind it.  If the rim above the mono is 6 o clock, then the rim has bends primarily at 9 o clock and 4 o clock. Again, see photos. It is the rim that has the most issues.   As well there is surface wear and overall scratches commensurate with age and use. The body does not have big dents or deep scratches though.  The bottom of the interior has dark marks that may or may not clean off. Left in as found condition with original patina, cleaning left to the buyer.
Not pristine, but still great.  Even in its condition this is a great ice bucket, signed and made with the quality of Christofle.
(Note...there are some wrinkles in the table cloth that are reflecting as lines--they are not scratches).  Feel free to ask questions.
