Vintage TWIX MFG CO NY “Take Down” Framing Square tool 16”x24”. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
You are looking at a very rare take down steel square manufactured by Twix manufacturing company in New York in or around 1950. It is in nice shape. However it has been modified. Someone welded the joints together to make it permanently together. They also added weld material to the top of the screw head to cover it. The screw can still be removed but the two pieces stay joined together. Looks to me like someone crafty enough cut separate them back to original.
Regardless, it is a super interesting old square. Will be shipped flat between thick cardboard.
